Trapped Chapter One By Comshaw

I hunt the same mountain every year. To make sure I know where the deer are I start scouting in late July. It was the third weekend in July five years ago and I had gone up the mountain early that morning. I had my camera with me in case I saw anything interesting. It was mid-afternoon when I started back down. A half mile from my truck I heard music. I determined the direction it was coming from and followed it. I finally located the source in a small grass covered clearing surrounded by a thick fence of brush. I had set my tent up in the clearing last hunting season and knew there was only one way in, a tunnel like entrance on the south side, but I also knew that the brush on the North side was only one layer thick. If I was quiet I could peek through and see who was there. I moved around to the North side and quietly parted the screening brush. In the middle of the clearing sat a young couple on a blanket. They had their backs to me so I couldn't tell if I knew them. A small portable stereo was to one side, a pile of beer cans beside it and both young people had a beer their hand.
