The Boy Without A Name

It was a nice motel, more a resort, that I just happened onto. It had a big swimming pool with a diving board and even a life guard. She was pretty but not my type. I was lying beside the pool, soaking up the last of the sun's rays when this guy came out to the pool looking like a young god....a boy, really, maybe seventeen, I hoped eighteen.....wearing a boxer brief suit that hugged his tight butt and thighs like skin. If he wasn't a body-builder he had good genes. I watched him dive off the edge of the pool and swim effortlessly to the other end where the water was four feet deep. The pretty lifeguard kept her eyes on him, too, and I suspected that he was showing off for her. He surfaced and looked to see where the younger kids were then swam back into deeper water. He was trying to do some serious swimming but it was hard with the other half dozen younger kids in the water.

"Where'd you get all of those muscles?" a boy of about ten asked him.

His question took the teenager by surprise and he looked a little embarrassed but proud.

"Well, I work out and get plenty of sleep and I eat right, just like I'll bet your mother tells you to do," he said. It was a good answer ...
