Emma knew she should never have agreed to sit in another poker game with these guys, but after the last time she just couldn't say no. Last month she had won, and won big. She was sure she could do it again. After playing poker with them last time, she heard all the rumors about the werewolf gang. The awful things they did to people if they unfortunately ended up owing even a small amount of money at the end of the night. Emma stopped and shivered as she remembered the things she had been told. These guys were anything but nice. They let the savage animal part of their nature rule their lives and people feared them for it. Emma's friend had told her of a man, who last year had owed the big boss $100,000.00 by the end of the night. The poor guy hadn't a chance in hell of paying the gang back and they knew it, they were almost happily expecting it. The body guards were always willing to teach a lesson when ever their bosses deemed it necessary. But one body guard stood apart from the rest, Roarke. He was the meanest, biggest most intimidating. Even the other body guards didn't mess with him. They looked up to him with a quiet admiration he thought he was due. That guy Emma had heard about had tried to borrow money from the banks, but the werewolves had made sure the banks understood what would happen to their businesses if they let him borrow any money. That man had untimatley paid the price, but no one was sure exactly what it was. He was still around and skittish as hell, you can't go up and say hi, with out the guy screaming from fright.
