Anna's Story Part One

"Anna" I looked up at the woman who had spoke my name, at first I did not recognise her, then it came to me "Dawn," I said "Is it really you Dawn." She smiled "It's a long time no see," she said with a smile.

Dawn and me went way back, back to my collage days before I got married. "Can I sit here," she said indicating to the empty seat at my side. I nodded "Help yourself."

She placed her shopping, several bags with well-known names of shops I could not afford to go in on the empty seat beside her. "It's good to see you," she said "it's been a long time."

She ordered some more coffee and we sat there chatting about the old days. It was good to look back; they were the good days. We had fun in those days without cares in the world not like today.

We got to talking about our lives today Dawn was married but unlike me she did not have any family. She lived in a nice part of town and by the look of her clothes she seemed to be doing well for herself.

I told her that things had not been going too well for me, I had a five-year-old daughter now so I had to pack up a good job, I had done a few part time jobs but they did not pay very well. Jim my husband ...
