Hey guys, it's Buddy again. Well, I was still reeling from that photo shoot with my straight-guy buddy Dave when I got a call from Jennifer, Dave's boyfriend. Her voice was a little hoarse, like a college football cheerleader who serves drinks at a Big Ten college-town bar, but she was in a good mood.

Even "best friend" wasn't equal, I knew, to what I felt about Dave. I don't know if I was jealous of Jennifer in that moment, but I was happy to be talking with her, to at least know that I was tangential to that part of his life.

Jennifer continued. "Those pictures are so great. They're hilarious!"
