In the remembrance of love

The room was bright and sanitary. Tony opened up his eyes and saw Timothy standing next to him beside the bed. He held out his hands to Timothy and spoke in a low soft voice "I remember it all just like it was yesterday!"

Tony's grandparents had raised him from birth. His parents were very young and too irresponsible for the responsibilities of child rearing. It wasn't easy growing up in the backwoods where isolation from society was a way of life and Christianity was your only form of entertainment.

Tony walked past the vacant lot every day of the week as he walked home from the bus stop, but one-day he noticed that piles of lumbers and brick and other building supplies had been delivered to this empty spot. He ran home quickly to find out if his grandparent's new what was going on up the road from their house. His grandparents informed him that a new family was moving into the neighborhood, and they had a son the same age as himself named Timothy.
