I pulled up in the driveway around 10:00am and was immediately greeted by both of my grandparents with big hugs. Grandpa had already started getting the things ready he wanted me to help him move to my mom's house, which is why I was in town today.

We took four truck loads of things out to my mom's house using his pick up truck. It was 6:30pm and I was exhausted. The last thing I wanted to do was make the three hour drive home. Fortunately my wife thought I might be tired so she encouraged me to bring a change of clothes in case I had to stay the night and my computer in case I needed to check email or something for work.

I was in desperate need of a shower and a beer, but not necessarily in that order. I called my wife to tell her I was staying the night and she agreed to make a call to get me a room in the hotel we typically stay at when we are in town.

I arrived at the hotel fifteen minutes later and was greeted by Kelly, who recognized me immediately since we had seen a lot of this place over the last 18 months. I checked in and headed to my room. I jumped in the shower and decided to head down to the bar for a few drinks.
