Best Man

Since marrying Angela two years ago I had not spent much time with Spencer. We meet when I joined a football club to get some badly needed male stimulus after working in an office of predominantly women all day. Spencer and I became very chummy and when Angela and I decided to get hitched I asked him to be my best man.

So that I could spend more time with Angela I gave football away after the wedding and consequently my contact with Spencer had diminished. It was great to hear from him again when he called to see if I was interested in a ‘boys' night out'. He was having a few mates over for the State of Origin football match, one of the highlights of the football calendar in our region of the world.
