It was a couple days after Johnny's outrageous dismissal and I was still seething. Every time I thought about it I was just sick. No man had ever walked away from Syn. He had to be crazy. What kind of guy walks away from a ready and willing woman? Try as I might I couldn't get it out of my head. I needed a distraction and I had one coming up. It wasn't exactly what I wanted but maybe some much-needed downtime at home would ease my wounded ego. So I headed back to Florida as soon as the shoot wrapped up. On the plane ride I closed my eyes and thought about some fun in the sun, some margaritas on the beach with my best girl friend and some guy-less nights.

Upon arriving home I immediately called my girl Angela. She said that a group of our friends had made plans to see a local arena football game that night and welcomed me to join them. I jumped at the chance. Maybe a good night of beer drinking, screaming and yelling at a game would relieve some of the aggression I felt toward Johnny. I threw on my favorite pair of jeans, a red t-shirt and tossed my hair up into a high ponytail. I looked pretty young so I double checked my purse for my ID and headed out the door. I felt comfortable and completely at ease when I pulled into the crowded parking lot. I gave Angela a call to find out where they were and began the long trek to the main entrance to the stadium.
