She held me tight and close. "Why are you so good to me?"I kissed her bare shoulder. "Because I love you. I always have and I always will." I waited for a following statement but she just held my hand and kissed it placing in back on her. I closed my eyes taking a deep breath. She was here with me tonight and she had all of me. I fell asleep with memories of that night still vividly playing in my head. I felt her kiss my cheek and whisper I love you as darkness took me over and I drifted to the one place of complete solitude. The realm of the unconscious and in that world she waited for me.
A ray of light hit my eye. My eyes flickered for a few seconds until I finally opened my eyes. My blinds were open and in was shinning the sun. I was at the edge of the bed facing the window. I stretched a bit to wake my self up and felt my muscles ache from the night before, a reminder of how intense Sarah's touch was. I turned to the other side of the bed to only see an imprint of her on the sheets and a note on her pillow. I felt tears start to form in my eyes as a quick tightening feeling made its way up my stomach to my throat.
I picked up the note and opened up the half folded sheet.
In pencil it read "I'm Sorry."
