Everyone has been there... A bad day turns into a bad week, and the next thing you know you're in a depressing spiral with no end site. First I had a breakup with my girl friend... We had only been dating a couple of months, and I could see that it wasn't really going anywhere, but still, getting dumped is never fun.

After that I ended up getting tied up with this project at work that I wanted nothing to do with... It ate up all of my time for the better part of a month, and to top it off my boss hardly seemed to notice the great job I had done. I was expecting to be the office hero and in the end all I got was a handshake and a "nice job."

It was quite anti-climactic... I had planned on going out that Friday night for the first time in nearly 6 weeks and having an extravagant over-the-top alcohol and money burning evening with my friends... But after all that had happened all I really wanted to do was go home and have a romantic evening at home with just me and my DVD collection. So that's what I did. Against much protesting from my friends I canceled the "guy's night out" and went back to my empty apartment.

I was all set to sit down in front of my TV. All I needed was something to eat. But, like everything in my life at the time not even that went right. When I opened my fridge it became apparent that my month of devotion to work had left me with ZERO food...
