I was at a bar that I spent a lot of time at. It was part of the local bowling alley where I bowled and also threw darts. It was about 3 in the afternoon and I was sitting with some friends, just talking as we had finished a game of darts and were having a drink. Thats when another friend came in with his parents and his grandmother. It was not unusual for them to be there, as they were regulars also.

Today, however, was a little different, as the grandmother was having her 68th birthday and the rest of their family was also there. They had made arrangements with the owner to bring in some food as all he served was pizza and microwave sandwiches. He even opened the downstaids bar for us and let us use the kitchen. The kitchen was a full kitchen as at one time as it was a steak house downstairs.

The family also invited some of their friends to join them and I was one of those. We all knew Martha, as she was at the bar a lot and even played in the card tournaments that were played there.

I suppose I should let you know that I am 31 and single, so am able to pretty much do as I see fit. I also know the whole family it seems as the bar is their hangout also.

After a couple hours of talking and drinking, the food was put out everyone loaded up from all of the pot luck style meal. I think that maybe they should have served it a little earlier as some in the group ...
