Crissy's Story

Crissy was nervous as she set out the trays with finger foods, and the eleven wine glasses. She didn't know how tonight would end, but she figured she would battle through it. Even if it meant that by the end of the night, she was friendless. All ten of her friends had looked clueless when they all received the little invite cards, announcing they were invited to the first ever Red Wine Club. No one knew what it was, except Crissy, and all were skeptical when they read, "Please no children or other guests. Come alone, and all will be revealed." She thought she had been real cleaver with that one.

She went into the bathroom to do the last check on her make up, as she heard a car pull into the driveway. She ran to the door, looked out, and saw that Tiffany, Andrea, and Kim came together. Good, she had hoped they would come in groups, less cars in the driveway. As she greeted her guests, another car pulled in, with Misty, Heather, Tanya, and Kaci piling out. Then another car containing Joni and Roxy arrived. All were here. Crissy announced for everyone to help themselves to the finger foods, and to take a wine glass and to meet downstairs in the family room and have a seat. ...
