Jack kept getting this knawing feeling that something just wasn't quite right with Mandi. He was certain that it had something to do with the argument that had been on going between the two of them for a couple of weeks.

He decided it was time to take the vacation that he was due. He wanted to resolve this thing between them once and for all. He felt a strain between them and he didn't like it.

Before leaving out on his current run he had a meeting with his supervisor and had made the request for a two week vacation. Ed said he would waive the usual 4 week advance notice required and would allow Jack to take the vacation beginning on his first day back from his current run. He was due back home the following day.

Jack planned a surprise for Mandi when he told her about the time off. His sister worked for a travel agency and he contacted her as soon as he had gotten the ok on the time off. She had been searching for a nice get away for him to take Mandi to.

Jack's sister had left a message on his cell phone that she had found the perfect place. When he called she would fill him in on the details and finish up the final arrangements.
