I had been traveling extensively over the summer. It seemed every time I turned around my boss was telling me about a new trip I needed to take for some reason. I didn't mind the travel usually, it often gave me a chance to get to interesting places and it was a boost in salary since I would get all of my expenses paid while I was gone (and being gone all summer I hadn't spent hardly a dime that the company didn't reimburse).

This trip was a little different, it was supposed to be the last one of the summer and it was to a small town that only had 6 flights in and out of the airport. The flight I was on was on the tiniest plane I had ever been on, I think there were a total of 10 passengers and it was pretty much full. I was glad when we arrived at the airport and I was in control of my transportation (once I got my rental car) I had the afternoon free so I saw the few sites in the city on my way to the hotel, checked in and asked about good places for dinner.

The hotel clerk didn't have any great suggestions, so I wandered the streets of dowtown to find something, it was about 6pm and there was no one around even though there was a street with about 20 restaurants on it. I poked my head into several but when I saw no one in the establishments I figured I would just head back to the hotel and relax a bit and maybe order room service.
