Daisy looked up from her drink and into the deep, black eyes of the stranger standing across the table from her; standing outside the small both in which she sat by herself.

"Leave me alone," she said timidly, returning her stare to the half-empty glass between her pale fingers.

But the stranger didn't leave. Instead, he pulled out the chair across from Daisy and sat down.
