I love my fiancé very, very much. I love everything about him, and the comfort level that we have together in our relationship. Yet sometimes it does seem that it has gotten a little too comfortable. We have fallen into a routine, and while that is a sign of being content with each other it does get kind of monotonous sometimes. It goes wake-up, go to work, come home, eat dinner, make love, and go to sleep, no surprises.

I have voiced these concerns to him once or twice and he has agreed with me that it was all about our comfort level being so high. It made me happy to hear him say that, I feared that he had been getting bored with the seemingly inescapable rut that we had got ourselves into.

I could tell that he was sensing that I was worried about our relationship, because as our anniversary drew nearer he seemed really concerned about what to do for me. Every evening after making love he would hold me and ask me what it was that I wanted more than anything. Every time I would sort of sigh and say, "There is nothing you can give to me that would make me happier then I am right now, with you."

I knew that that wasn't good enough for him because he didn't let it go. I could tell he was planning something big because he kept making ultra secret telephone conversations. Ultra-secret in the sense that when I walked near him he shut the door to whatever room he happened to be in.
