The flight from Chicago to London was long. While my girlfriend was with me, I still wondered to myself was why I had let her talk me in to taking her along on this business trip. We had been growing apart, and I had contimplated ending our relationship when I returned from the U.K.

When I had told Jennifer about the trip, she asked to go along. I wasn't looking forward to this, as her presence would curtail my party time in the Soho district in London, home of some great pubs, and what is commonly known as a "red light" district. While that has fallen off in recent years, the oldest profession is there, and alive, albiet behind the guise of "gentleman's clubs."

The Boeing 777 touched down at Heathrow, and after collecting our luggage, we were whisked through customs with the usual British aplomb. As we were driving to the north, toward Oxford, I felt my apprehension growing with Jennifer here.

Checking in to our Bed and Breakfast, I settled in to my routine of unpacking my luggage. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Jennifer step into the bath, for a shower.
