I had completed my work for the day as part of my survey for a project I had undertaken. The weather was sultry & humid. Looked like it was going to rain. I walked up to the store near the bus stop to get myself a lemonade to quench my thirst. The bus back would take time. There was only one bus every hour.

I heard a motorcycle rumbling up & turned around sipping my lemonade. A man about 30-32 yrs with dark glasses wearing a jeans & shirt came to a stop near me. As he got down, he gave me a once over.

I sipped my lemonade & returned the stare eye-to-eye. Our eyes searched each other saying nothing.

He bought a glass of lemonade himself & stood there sipping as I paid for mine & browsed around the few magazines hanging in front of the shop, all the while conscious of the stare of my neighbour.

And then the storm broke...

I rushed to the bus shelter, getting soaked in the short distance of about 8 - 10 metres from the shop as there was no shelter in front of the shop.

My round necked T-shirt clung to me & so did my track suit & shoes. The man on the bike had also, quickly paid up & rushed to the bus shelter. ...
