This story is about three young people who were hired to help and older temporarily invalided woman while she recovers from an auto accident.

June's mother shouted, "I will pick you up right here after I get off work. OK?" She drove away leaving June standing on the stoop. Her first real job was waiting just inside the door, her first chance at being on her own since graduating high school.
