JOB INTERVIEW

Adrianna Purl enjoyed interviewing new salespeople to hire for her company. A successful businesswoman in her mid forties, she knew how important a good salesperson could be to her bottom line. She'd also learned that a young, hungry salesperson, eager to show what he could do, was usually a good source of fun when she needed some diversion.

Todd Simmons had taken his first sales job straight out of college two years before and he was ready to move up. He'd heard about Adrianna's company—and about Adrianna Purl herself. If half the rumors about her were true, the woman was wildly talented in many different areas.

"Tell me about your experience," Adrianna asked. She had bushy auburn hair bright emerald green eyes, and she wore a gray silk blouse with the two top buttons loose, just enough for Todd to see a thin gold chain dangling between a pair of luscious breasts. She'd started the interview sitting behind her desk but moved over to a brown leather couch in the corner where she crossed her legs—loose black slacks and flat shoes—and sipped some bottled water.

"Well, I've been involved in some high-pressure deals where I had to pursue some very hot prospects and then hang in for a long time before everything came together," Todd said. "Lots of hand-holding, lots of stroking—the usual routine." ...
