The Best is yet to come

He was waiting for her. Hoping that she would show us as he'd asked her to. She was hurt and they both knew it. He'd give anything to take it back, to go back to the moment in time before he' d hurt her. She was vulnerable and fragile. Maybe that was part of what had drawn him to her in the first place. But, at the same time he knew she had a great inner strength. He would certainly have to analyze this at some point in the near future.

For now though he'd wait. Checking his watch for what seemed the hundredth time in the past hour. He got out of his car and went into the coffee shop. Maybe it would kill some time and calm his nerves, provide some outlet for his nervous energy. Picking out a good table he sat and looked out through the rain streaked windows and watched the traffic outside

It was all planned out in his head. Dinner reservations were made, other plans were in place, all rather loose though depending on how the evening went. If all was well, she'd forgive him and they could move forward .If not, well he'd rather not think about that at the moment, lest the negative thoughts take form and ruin this evening for them both.
