The Tenant

It had been a long week, it was Friday morning and I had just arrived home from a grueling six day West Coast trip. I had taken the red eye from LA to Boston so I could be well rested for my weekend. I had been working extra long hours for about a month straight and was hoping I could spend a relaxing fall weekend catching up on some rest and recharging. I was so tired I hadn't said two words to the taxi driver on the way home. I usually tried to be at least friendly, but today I was too exhausted.
