Sleigh Ride by Bittic

Our group of choir members on this outing was riding in a wagon filled with hay pulled by two pair of Morgans and they were doing just great. The lead wagon was filled with the most choir members and a team of black Belgians pulled it. Our two teams kept up, even though they were pulling a heavier wagon. From my position in the front of the wagon I could make out the forms of Blub and Willa in each other's arms near the rear of the lead wagon.

Blub was an ugly name for anyone, but when he was a kid he was very big -- fat. They called him Blubber, but starting about fifth grade he started losing most of the weight and developed a tremendous figure to go with a great smile, lovely blue eyes, and pretty blonde hair (for a man). All the women of the town and a few men could not keep their eyes off of him as he went about. Most times he glided from place to place, but when he knew you were watching him -- he swaggered, boldly, with a much bigger smile. Even the schoolgirls had secret crushes on him. Willa was no exception. She had been infatuated with him since he developed a figure in fifth grade. In spite of the changes in his appearance, everyone still uses the nickname Blub.

Most everyone was wearing pants or slacks for the girls, but some girls wore skirts. Willa was such a one. She did whatever she could to attract a man or boy. This night she was showing Blub just about ...
