Something Like Joy

It was just a little chilly, the first cool air of fall in the late September breeze. The early afternoon sun was bright, but there was little warmth in it. Leslie looked down at the cotton sundress she was wearing, and at her sandals. "I'm a little underdressed for the weather, she thought. So why am I sweating?
