My Life with Finnegan

From the air, the village looked like a picture post card. I could only think of Miss Marple from the mystery stories I used to love to devour as a child. No one knows what evil lurks in the heart of any village, town or city.

My name is Margaret Ann Callahan McBride and I am now the owner of the Inn known as "The Quiet Cove" in Bell Harbor. We are located about a two-hour's drive time from Boston. My parents bought the Inn fifty years ago and turned it over to me before they retired and moved to Florida last winter, having had enough of snow and people after almost forty-nine years.

I was born as they say into the business, went on to college to study hotel management. After I graduated, I took a position with the Helton Chain. I started as their day manager in Toledo Ohio, and worked myself up to the position of Director of Operations of the largest Helton Hotel chain in Boston. Between Toledo and the Boston job, I worked in seventeen different Helton's in five different countries. I met and married while in Europe my ex-husband Kenneth McBride, was also on the corporation fast track and he thought we made a perfect team. Turns out, he was wrong.
