I woke up startled that Wednesday morning. I had been dreaming again. Yes it was that damned reoccurring dream again only this time it was a little different. Oh sure my late wife had said all the same things, they need you, they'll love you, you'll love them, give them direction darling they need it, but there was something different at the end. She had laughed and said, "It's time to ride the tiger Honey." There was still all that plural stuff and the only thing I could figure out is it pertained to Erin and Beth but "Ride the Tiger", what the hell could that possibly mean. Fuck this was ridiculous, it was only a dream. I looked over at Beth sleeping peacefully. I wanted some coffee and since I hadn't made it last night and set the timer I'd have to make it this morning. I slipped out of bed and pulled on a robe.

After taking my morning piss I walked out to the kitchen area. About six inches of heavy wet snow had fallen but it was already dripping from the deck. The storm had past and there were only some high white puffy cumulus clouds in the clear blue sky. The sun was up and it was 40 ...
