"The Candle Shop" hosted by Lisa Mason

Even weeks after an anonymous tryst with Judy Crowell in her office, I still blidly held out hope that something that wild and outrageous could happen again. Sadly, each day blended monotanously into the next until my dream summer intership was actually becoming the run of the mill summer job from Hell.

After the Judy incident, the opportunities for enjoyment on the graveyard shift quickly disappeared, leaving me with 8 long hours each night to kill.

My main job one Friday night consisted of straightening up the entire studio and sweeping up all the walkways. Quite a task considering the QVC studio is the largest live studio complex in the world. While most of my friends were off enjoying thier Friday night, I paced the dark hallways with a broom in my hand.

Every night at midnight on QVC, they introduce a special value of the day, and have a huge show to promote it. On this particular night, Lisa Mason was hosting the midnight show, featuring several home accessories. I watched bits and pieces of the show from off stage as I cleaned, but nothing other than Lisa really caught my attention.
