This is actually a rather old story branded with a new title. Some may have read it before, but I suspect most haven't. I've fought the urge to edit it, instead presenting it here in its "original" condition. The writing might be a little rough at times, but like an old black and white movie, I felt it most appropriate to leave it in its original state.

Chapter 1

I finished with the last of the buttons on my dress shirt and reached for the silk tie that I had been assured was the most appropriate choice for the evening events. I made the familiar Windsor knot, ensuring it formed a tight triangle against my shirt collar. With one last adjustment, I glanced at my watch and called out, "Are you almost ready? It's past seven. If we don't leave soon we'll be late!"
