The weekend was getting closer and I had started getting things ready to go away. I had decided on going away for the weekend by boat. It's where I live all year and being I love the water it's a good place to be. It's a fifty-four foot Sea Ray that I've had for the last six years. When I had bought it, it was nothing more than a burnt up shell. With a lot of work, a lot of money it turned out to be a pretty nice home. It's been in the water for the past two years. I'm going out with my friends Chris and Karen who have a thirty-foot cigarette boat that goes from zero to sixty real quick. My boat on the other hand will move along pretty good but who needs to be in that big of a hurry. We've made trips before and we tie our boats together and hang out for the weekend some place. My boat will sleep twelve. It has one stateroom, that's my room and two smaller rooms that will sleep two in each. There are two sets of bunk beds but you can sleep more if people sleep on the floor. We both keep our boats in a marina close to Chris and Karen's house. My boat has all the comforts of home. I have a satellite TV in the living room, AC through out the whole boat and a full kitchen. The stern of the boat has bench seats lounge chairs and a good size swim platform off the back that folds up during transit. I even had an awning made to give shade to deck if it got too warm. There's also plenty of storage room and let's not forget the grill. Like I said, all the comforts of home.
