Disabled not Dead!

I'm a 26 years old guy named Jerry who has been disabled for the past 7 years. I used to own and ride a motorcycle and was hit by a car one day whilst riding it near my home. The accident put me in a coma for 3 months and has left me disabled.

I can just about walk with the aid of some crutches but my coordination is shot to hell. I have terrible trouble trying to stop my arms moving involuntarily and my speech is slurred enough to make most people think I'm drunk all the time..... I wish!

Trouble is my mind is still as acute as it's always been. I was a qualified electrician before the accident but of course I'm no good to man or beast as I am now..... or so I thought!

People also have a nasty habit of treating you as being the walking dead, an untouchable, a person to steer clear of rather than get in over their heads. If they only knew that all you really wanted was to be acknowledged as a disabled person but mainly, still as a human being. ...
