It was my first day of 9th grade. It was very scary going into high school, not knowing what to expect. My day went pretty smoothly and then 5th period, band class came. Band was always one of my favorite classes because it was very easy to pass bacause all I had to do was play an instrument to get a good grade. I wasn't nervous in that class at all.

Then i saw Adam walk in. He looked like just my type. Slim, long brown hair, and about 5' 10". I was into the whole skater thing. Guys who wore girl pants were hott. And he looked extremely hott in them. Wow. I became very nervous around him. We had to sit in our sections and he sat behind me. I kept thinking that i have no chance with him because i was a freshman and i was pretty sure that he was a senior. Normally seniors didn't go for freshmen.

Every once in a while i would look back. And every time i did, our eyes would meet. A couple of times he chuckled. I was smiling all afternoon that day. The first day of school was great.

At the end of band each day we had about 5 minutes of free time until the bell rang. It was the second week of school when in those 5 minutes, Adam came up behind me.
