Study A Broad

I was in my junior year at the university and was trying to hone in on what kind of classes I needed to take to complete my major in Business, but still I wanted to have some fun doing it. I was in the student activity center looking at the bulletin board and spotted the following ad:

Travel abroad spring quarter and accumulated 15 credits toward your business degree. Must be adventurous with good communication skills. Experience in photography or video a plus. Call Jake @ 555-1212.

"Hmmmm" I thought. Travel abroad for a business major sounded pretty fun. I was taking communication classes as my minor and had always been a "shutter bug" since junior high.

I took one of the slips and stuck it in my pocket to call later. Throughout the balance of the day, the idea of doing a study abroad program was really intriguing. I was sure there would be some sort of drawback, like finances, or that you had to be fluent in Swahili or some silly thing, but decided I might as well call and find out.

"Hello, this is Brad Chambers, I'm calling about the study abroad program that you were advertising?" I said tentatively.
