It has been a while since I have found time to write a story, but as I enjoyed writing them as much as some of you seem to have enjoyed reading them I have made some time, so here goes.

This story is set in the early 90's, in London. It is summer time I was 21 and I had just finished university but I had not decided what I wanted to do next. To keep some money coming in while I thought about the future I took a job for a small clothing manufacturer, for the purposes of the story I will call them Tops and Tails. Tops and Tails made a wide range of underwear; my job was to sell the underwear direct to retail outlets. It was a fun job; I got to travel around visiting a lot of small boutiques etc selling a few boxes here and there, the problem was I did not sell enough to make much money, especially as I was on commission. By the end of August I was getting desperate to make a big sale, I really needed the money.

Then I got my break, a small shop I had supplied got bought out by a firm which ran 20 or so boutiques, they liked our garments and asked me to come and seem them, show them our range with a view to potentially placing a substantial order. The meeting was arranged for a Friday afternoon.
