This story is a tribute to Miss Colly, Colleen Thomas. I had the great privilege to work on this story in collaboration with Colleen, who was the greatest writer I have yet found on this site. Sadly, she became ill during the writing and we had to stop. I recently learned that she passed away in May of 2006, and I felt the best way to honour how much she taught me was to finish the story and post it for her friends and fans. I hope I have done well. I hope you all enjoy it.

My name isn't really Jade, but I answer to it. Jade, Jay, Jace, Skip, Skipper, Capt. Captain, Lt Commander, Boss, I respond to them all. Even hey Bitch, if I am the only woman around, which is most of the time. Not regulation, but who gives a flying fuck? Regulations don't go out here, unless I'm in the cockpit. Then it's Lt. Commander Christain, black leader, Wrath or whatever call numbers the bridge gives me on launch. Some of the kids don't understand and try the friendly stuff on a mission. I always put an end to that shit most ricky tick, you betya. So they leave here thinking I'm super bitch, but I know it's saved more than a few of their hides.
