As if the day hadn't been long enough at work, I came home to find out that my wife Kayt had arranged for me to run over to our friends Kyle and Jill's house to help Jill with a project while Kyle was traveling out of town. Jill had bought some new workout equipment, and it had been delivered to her house earlier in the day. Rather than waiting until the end of the week for Kyle to get home, Jill wanted the stuff out of her garage and moved into the house where she would be able to assemble the pieces herself. I reluctantly agreed to help Jill out.

Kayt was going to go with me, but about ten minutes before our departure, she received a call from some friends asking her if she would sub on their volleyball that night. Kayt accepted the invitation, knowing I would not mind. Kyle and Jill are our best friends, and we spend tons of time with them. I have a good relationship with Jill, and knew that it wouldn't be uncomfortable in the least to be around Jill without neither Kyle nor Kayt around. I had known Jill for about twelve years. Her and my wife were freshman roommates in college, and I actually met Jill before I met my wife.

I arrived at Kyle and Jill's house around 7pm that evening. As I pulled in the driveway, Jill was in the garage working on getting some of the smaller stuff in the house. I walked in the garage and was greeted with a hug, as well as countless thank you's for taking time to help her out.
