My story isn't that unusual for a high school senior growing up in a small town. There is not a lot that goes on that isn't known by everyone at the breakfast diner by 8:00 AM the next morning. I had just moved here towards the end of my junior year and it was tough adapting to a new crowd. My social life was pretty calm and unexciting and I didn't have a boyfriend like most the girls in the senior class. I did make it onto the cheerleader squad, so at least that increased my visibility.

I wasn't one of the "pretty" girls that all the jocks are falling over themselves to make out with after the Friday night football game. I was a little shorter than the other girls, 5'4", and I was carrying a few more pounds (130#) and had much larger breasts (34D) than any of the other girls. Our advisor, Ms. Simms told me that I needed to get myself a good sports bra so that I didn't bounce quite so obviously when doing the cheer routines.

Most of the other cheerleaders were "hooked up" with steady guys all except Jan who seemed really perky and outgoing, and for whatever reason, she kind of adopted me as her pet project to get me out of my shell as she likes to put it. We'd go to the local Tasty Freeze after the games and she would try to talk guys in town to go out with me.
