Part 3 Finding a cave in the dark, two or more years since you last visited it, and under the pressure of possible pursuit by the forces of evil is very much a horse of a different colour. We crossed the rock ring and I paused to try to get some bearings. This cave was near the bottom of the hill, which is one of the reasons I didn't use it, and the entrance was well hidden by some thickish bamboo.

It was actually the bamboo that was the key to finding it because it wasn't that prevalent on the island. I used the torch for a quick sweep to see if I could find any of my marker rocks; no luck. I took a punt and gave the much famous command, "This way". The tender boat engines suddenly faded and stopped. Harry was here.

I had another look for signs and struck pay dirt; a small group of rocks formed into an arrow; you had to know what to look for to see the shape, which I promptly destroyed anyway. The air now resonated with a new, even scarier sound; someone was starting up the helicopter on the mother ship. If that had lights on, we could be caught out as the tree canopy was pretty thin on this part of the island. Where was that bloody bamboo?

It was actually about two feet away and I found it by walking straight into it.
