The low afternoon sun shining in his eyes almost caused Dave to miss his turn. At the last moment he saw the sign for the motel and was able to turn into the entrance. He eased under the canopy and sat for a moment. Dave was thinking ‘I'm getting too old for these road trips.' Dave eased himself from the car and walked into the lobby. The young girl at the registration desk looked up at him as he approached.
