Blue Lightening by Will Buster

Brian Bedford withdrew quickly from the alien presence that leered at him through lidless, reptilian eyes. "Your existence is ended human!" An electronic sounding voice emanated from the thin mouth of the being that drew a menacing looking weapon from a holster strapped to his leg.

Brian dove for the floor as the sizzling lazar beam missed him by a matter of inches. He rolled behind a nearby desk a split second before the beam charred the side of that desk. He muttered, "Damned croton bastard!"

"You cannot escape human!" Brian's voice was low and filled with anger. "Just watch me fish bate!" Another beam zipped past his crouching form. It was obvious the green skinned creature was getting closer and closer. Brian moved fast to keep as much of the desk between him and certain extinction.

"Cut!" The director put up his hands and the camera crews started checking the film. "Great work Brian!" Cecil Goldman was ecstatic. He'd worried about this scene from the beginning but it was working out better than expected. "And you tom! You play a great monster! Christ I really thought you were a killer alien!" Tom slipped off his fake head. He gave everyone a wicked grin. "All in a day's work Mister Goldman. ...
