Dark, soulless eyes watched Ariel let herself into the house, her long black hair rippling in the wind. He waited for the light to go on in her bedroom before he made the powerful call to her roommate. Waking with a start, Bethany knew she needed to go to her boyfriend's house. Trancelike, she got out of bed, still in her nightgown, got in her car and left, leaving the front door open. Minutes later he was inside, unnatural speed aiding his entrance.
