This story has been written with help from a friend. She does not want her name published, but I will say that I hope that the memories of jazz and Ireland stay with her, to light her nights for years to come.

"It's only a Paper Moon, sailing over a cardboard sea..." I was singing an old jazz tune, and holding the hand of an incredible jazz singer, that I had known from back in High School, in a club in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. Little did I know that this would be an experience that would change me in so many ways... I'll explain.

I am a musician by trade, and have a part time job as a car salesman. Big deal. Those that know me know that I have a passion for three things in my life: my adopted country of Ireland, where I now reside, my music, which is my business, and cars.

It so happened that I had to be in Chicago on business last month, and worked out my schedule to match the greatest auto show of all time, The Chicago Auto Show. Now in Ireland, I sell Vauxhall/Opel, and in the States I sell Chevy. This isn't any big deal, but it gives me a chance to see the industry from a different perspective.

It was Valentine's day, and friends and I were attending the Auto Show for the day, and were gong out for drinks before everyone went about their business of romance for the holiday.
