The Debutant

As I sit here on this plane writing a journal entry I wonder if when I read it 30 years from now if I will truly understand what brought me to this decision. For posterity's sake or at least for my sake I will endeavor to tell the whole story.

I have to admit I am a privileged person and coming from strong Christian parents a very sheltered one as well. Daddy is a Texas Oils Baron. His Daddy, my Granddaddy setup the family oil business in the industry infancy. I am an only child. A pretty southern debutant that wants for nothing.

I have it all. I went to a private all girl Christian academy and was presented at the most prestigious debutants Ball in the south. Momma and I fly to New York in fashion week and shop to our hearts content. I have a car and driver at my disposal and a staff at home to take care of my every need.

Why then am I flying on a commercial flight from Cabo San Lucas to Dallas Fort Worth with nothing but the cloths I wear and this low cost Laptop I purchased at the Airport. Why am I still woozy and a little hung over and soar in places a polite lady wouldn't speak of.
