Roger Reborn 22 By Will Buster

February third was like any other Tuesday at the Merrill Lynch office in Boston. Glenda Krueger was sitting at her desk reading up on investment strategies put out by the firm for the management of client portfolios. The recent unexpected loss of her husband had hit her very hard and she'd only been back a week. Her coworkers had been kind and considerate. Her boss had given her flowers and when a broker left the firm she'd gotten more than her share of his clients. Certainly the life insurance proceeds had helped a great deal and her children had taken the event better than expected but she felt the emptiness grow inside her like a bottomless void.

Her phone rang. "Hello, Glenda Krueger speaking."

A cultured British accent greeted her ears on the other end of the line. "Good morning mum. I would like to set up an appointment to see you. My name is Roger Hallworth the sixth. I'm on vacation recently from Essex County in the UK. I have some important business to discuss with you."

Her curiosity was immediately peaked, "This sounds very intriguing. How did you get my name? Did someone refer you to me?"

Roger answered with a bit of a dry chuckle, "You could say that. Yes I was referred to you in a most unusual way. I'm sure it will make sense ...
