Daniel sat in the bar knocking back the last few drops of whiskey, Daniel's brain tried to take in all the events that had unfolded earlier. One thing was for sure Daniel was going to enjoy the new powers that this ring had given him.

Daniel headed to the bar giving the bar girl his glass then headed for the door, Daniel headed to the subway trying to work out how best to use the ring's powers to his advantage, what scores to settle, and how to keep the ring out of sight of anyone that knew of it's existence.

Daniel pushed his door open and headed straight through to the living room throwing himself down on the sofa, he had left the small box in plain sight, if anyone had broken in and knew about the ring they would have put the pieces together easily.

Daniel lifted the small box and headed to the kitchen, pulling the letter and book from the box before lighting the gas cooker and holding both items over the flames, watching them burn slowly before dropping them into the sink.

The paper burned slowly until all that was left was black ashes, Daniel rinsed the black ashes from the sink then headed back through to the living room. ...
