The sound of a car horn blaring jolted me from the deep sleep that I'd been enjoying. I groaned and rolled over to glance at the clock next to the bed. The glowing digital numbers staring back at me told me it was eleven thirty and probably time to get on the move. The horn sounded again followed by a drumming on my front door.

"Hey Sam! You up yet? We gotta go, come on!" Dan's voice carried across the threshold of my door and reminded me that today was the day of this year's big concert. Every year the big city that is a few hours from our town hosts a huge concert in the summer, usually around the middle of July. This year's main draw happened to be a big favorite of my good buddy Dan.

"Hey man, I'm up," I said as I pulled open the door to let him in. "What's on the go? You're here awful early aren't you? I didn't think the show started till five or so."

"The opening act goes on at two," he replied. "They're fairly new but have a great sound, I want to be there to see them live.

"You're joking, right?" I said incredulously. "You want to go to a ten hour concert as soon as it starts to see the opening act. Even when they're not allowing re-entries, so once we're in we're stuck. Isn't it even raining, are you fucking nuts? Let's crack a few beers and gear up before heading down. Give Mike a call while I hop in the shower." ...
