Isn't it strange how one incident can turn your life around, just when you think you're stuck in an endless situation?

A couple of months ago I'd been in a relationship with someone who I thought loved me, but it all ended in one horrible night when he said he thought we wanted different things and this is goodbye! Within days, he was off with some French tart who's young enough to be his daughter, and I'm left devastated and thinking I would never be able to feel anything again.

After weeks of wallowing in self pity, I was now just starting to go about my life again. Somehow, I'd been talked into going to an open-air rock festival with some of the people from work. It wasn't really my scene to be honest, but it was better than sitting in the house on my own again.

When we arrived, it was just as bad as I'd imagined it would be, a heaving crowd of sweaty bodies and a strong smell of alcohol and cigarette smoke. I was dragged straight into the crowd by one of the girls I was with, Liz, and found myself in the thick of it all! I tried to concentrate on the music for a while, which wasn't too bad, and actually began to relax a little. Before long, I was jumping around and shouting along with everybody else and having fun!
