[A little different from my usual fare. Basically an amalgam of various bar experiences I've had over the years, mixed in with a healthy dose of wishful thinking. Enjoy!]

It was my buddy's bachelor party, but somehow we'd all gotten split up. They were at a bar somewhere in Addams Morgan, and we were at some place that they weren't. To tell the truth I didn't even get the name of the place when we went in. Unfortunately I was stuck with the part of his posse that I didn't know very well, so while they made their way through the crowd, hitting on every chick in their path, I just hung in the back, squeezing my way along just close enough to keep sight of them.

Our forward progress stopped as they stumbled into a group of girls that weren't immediately turned off by too much cologne and over eager grabbing. I shot a quick glance towards the bar, but it was ten bodies deep and I saw no easy point of access.

As I settled into a bored stance I accidentally bumped the person behind me and turned to apologize. I was met by a smiling face that made my surroundings seem slightly less annoying.

"Rowdy group you're with," she yelled over the music.

I hate trying to make that mouth to ear yelling into a conversation, ...
