Below I heard the tinkle of the bell letting me know someone had come into the antique shop. I tried to stay focused on my search for just the right table but was distracted by the deep voice from the first level inquiring about 19th century tables. There was something about the voice that sent a shiver of awareness through me. The sales rep told the customer the tables would be on the second level in the back right corner; close to me.
