On a warm, dark, stormy summer night, we look into a bedroom in a quaint little house in Delaware, USA and see a handsome guy named Brandon sitting at his computer looking through his email. He comes across an email from his friend Alice.

"Great!" he thinks, "I haven't heard from her in a while. Wonder how she's doing."

Brandon opens up the email.It has only one line of writing in it, "Fortune cookie of the day: when doorbell rings, open the door. You might just find your destiny out there."

Right then the doorbell makes Brandon jump.

"Weird" is the first thought in Brandon's now wary brain.

He stands up and goes to the front door. Looking through the peephole he doesn't recognize the person out there, because she's wearing a rain slicker with the hood turned up. He cautiously opens the door a crack. As he looks out she turns her head up to look at him. He finds himself lost in the pool of her brown eyes. No one says a word for a few moments and the she breaks into the most dazzling smile he's ever seen.

"You going to invite me in out of this rain or what?" she asks. ...
